Marine Corps Community Services Lejeune-New River

Website

The redesign of the 100+ page Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Lejeune-New River website was a huge accomplishment. With a team, we performed a content audit of the site to make sure unnecessary information was removed and necessary information was added. Once we accomplished the audit, we completely reorganized the site based on the user. We strategically structured the new site by creating wireframes based off of research, knowledge, feedback, and analytics. The end user was our sole inspiration for the organization of the navigation. The navigation was created strategically base on responsive design and how the user interacts with the site.

Once all of the planning was done, I began on the mockup of the site. This really displayed the entire look and feel of the site. Here is when I set the standards for image sizes, art work and how content will be viewed. Once the mockups were complete and the design was approved, I began creating the site. This included the CSS, four templates to be used throughout the site based on content, ColdFusion forms, search option, navigation, jQuery, and any other supporting JavaScript and functionality. From the templates I created, myself and two others began filling in the appropriate content per page. These pages were then proofed, adjusted and finally the entire site was launched.
